How to remove duplicate tracks in Apple Music on PC?

I have many duplicate tracks in apple music on my PC and i want to reduce that to just one listing per music file. (Don't want to delete different songs with the same name, though)

Everything elsewhere on the web refers to iTunes which is not how Apple wants us to use for music.

I know i can work down the list but I have about 1900 individual tunes i want to keep, but so many have duplicate listings I have 6-8000 lines in my music collection.

I need to tidy it up! My OCD is screaming at me to do it, but my naturally lazy *** says find out how to do it all at once like we used to be able to do in iTunes! (I'm really unhappy how Apple have changed the system ! So bulky and unwieldy now! Grrrr

Method 1 - use a built-in feature in Apple Music：

Open the Music app and go to Library > Songs

Click File > Library > Show Exact Duplicate Items

This will display only identical tracks, so you can safely delete duplicates without removing different songs that share the same name

Since you mentioned you have thousands of duplicates, doing it manually can be time-consuming.

Method 2 - use a third-party duplicate songs remover:

Cisdem Duplicate Finder – very beginner-friendly and can quickly remove duplicate music files.

Tune Sweeper – more advanced, allows you to identify duplicates using customizable criteria.
