Unable to verify/install latest (April 1) iPhone update 18.7.7 on iPhone XSMax. Do I wait or worry? I tried restarting the iPhone and “unablt to verify” message persists. This is the first time i have not been able to update. Is there a update server issue because I also got 2 server error messages “too many requests” when trying to post this query. 😬
Apple had a problem with the 18.7.7 update on April 2nd that appears to have been resolved.
This has resolved itself without intervention. I just let the update do what it said it was going to do, i.e. install overnight, and it did! Bit anxious for a day or so after the update had already downloaded. Hope it worked successfully for everyone else too
Are you using a VPN? If so, delete it then try again.
I've been getting the too many requests message a lot lately too. They seem to be having issues with this site, it's not on your end.

I followed instructions on Apple support site and deleted the 18.7.7 update. Re downloaded it and it still give me the same error. 🙅

Perhaps an initial attempt on this type of failure might
include use of Feedback to Apple Support form online
and to clarify your experience fill in all blanks carefully.

Instructions will appear in your local language, while
my form was in english, for a US version submission.
.Also found the download in iPhone (XR) and deleted.

I have the same issue since yesterday. I am in USA. No VPN. I tried connected to wifi only and celular only, both give me the same message.
I have deleted the downloaded udate file, restarted iPhone, but it does not fix the issue.
Tried to update using iTunes and it also fails but with another message.
It is able to download the update file, but when it tries to verify the update it fails. No matter how many times I try it.
I set my iPhone to remind me to when download was ready to install. 30 minutes later: Same error. I have no vpn installed. Apple servers must be collapsed.
It's a bug. I've been getting the same message as well. We'll just have to wait for Apple to fix the issue.
And no I do not have a VPN installed, never have.

You can download the 18.7.7 update but the verification fails and you cannot complete the installation.
