How to view only photos taken with iPhone on iPhone 15 Pro?

iphone camera roll location - there seems to be no way I can find how now to look at just the pictures that ive taken with my iPhone. Is there a way to? I remember when they had "camera roll" - but no more? Im on an iPhone 15 pro. The rest of my photos on the phone are photos that I choose to sync via cable from finder so that I can choose the ones I want without having to use iCloud Photos..... Tks!

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26

Step one: Go to the photos app on your device. Step two: Press the search button on the bottom right of the screen. Step three: Search “iPhone 15 Pro”. Step four: It’ll give you the camera logo with saying “Apple iPhone 15 Pro” next to it.

Thanks. When my above search attempt did not work, i tried after unsyncing all my pics from not in camera roll, to upload the remaining 500 or so to photos left in camera roll to icloud. However, it was taking forever! So i just turned icloud photos back off, deleted partially synced iphone pictures and restored from back up and all camera roll pics were back on phone and restored. Once verified, i synched the other folders and all good. Your method of searching did pick out all pictures taken with iphone 15 pro, but i failed to realize that i also have some pictures taken with that iphone model also in my synced folders. So if i had pulled those out before unsyncing the folders, i would have ended up with duplicates when resyncing.

i think the best way was to remove all synced picture folders, turn on icloud photos, sync to cloud, set up phone as new, sync photos back to “camera roll” then turn off photos in cloud then sync other pictures folders back to iphone via my usual process.

Since you use a Mac, you can set up a Smart Album with "Camera Model includes iPhone 15"

Since iPhones don't show Smart Albums, you can just copy the results into a regally "iPhone 15" album. If you have a friend who also uses an iPhone 15, you can put the friend's name in the caption and use a additional condition of "Caption does not include friend"

A number of people have said that they would like an album in their phone's Photos to show only their own pictures. You, like others, should let Apple know here:

We've seen changes come about from people asking-- it's definitely worth a shot…

This, of course, is just what Mac Jim ID suggested earlier. It's handy to read previous posts and, if repeating, give credit to the earlier response.

no. JIM ID suggested “iphone”. and i showed the incorrect results.

PS - i did read the post(s).

The problem, aa mrchntmarine discovered, is that the searched cameral model may have been used by a friend or partner, so it still doesn't get what you want. In my earlier post, I gave some suggestions using a Smart Folder on a Mac to help eliminate the extras, but that takes some work with captions or keywords.

Probably the best plan is to let Apple know here:

Have you tried tapping the Search icon in Photos and entering "iPhone"?

Yes - I get this:

Which is not accurate as I have about only 600 when I plug into image capture. They seem to have removed camera roll.... Im trying to isolate the images only taken with iPhone camera so I can get them to a new iPhone set up as new. As im not sure where they "end up" if I do a side by side set up of new iPhone. I guess ill un-sync all photos and ill only left with the ones taken by iPhone? Then turn on iCloud Photos on old phone and get them to the cloud, turn on iCloud Photos with new iPhone and get them to the new phone that way??
