After downloading iOS 18.7.7 for a iPad 7gen. I get a message that it can not verify due to not connected to internet. But my iPad is connected to the internet. I have tried multiple times and even did a factory reset and downloaded again. But with the same issue. I currently have 15.7 any chance I need to first update to 16 or 17 first? Those version are not available anywhere that I know of

If your 7th generation iPad is failing to install iPadOS 18.7.7—released April 2026 to patch the "DarkSword" exploit—the issue is often resolved by freeing up 4-6GB of storage, force-restarting the device, or updating via a computer. Locate the update under Settings > General > Software Update.
After a factory reset there is plenty of Free space on the Hard Drive. Software downloads but doesn’t install. Do to a false error message claiming I not connected to the internet when the ipad is clearly connected
