iPad 7th generation iOS update fails with error 4000

Cannot update ipad 7th generation IOS. Get error 4000. I connected to computer to update because I did not have enought memory. When didn't update, I tried all suggestions: re-start computer and ipad, changed cords and port. It seemed to downolad but could not install update and got the error message twice,

4000-series errors are often associated with the host computer having difficulties contacting Apple’s servers. Communication difficulties of this nature are often linked with Anti-Virus and/or firewall software running on the host computer.

iOS update and restore errors - Apple Support


While you do so entirely at your own risk, try temporarily disabling your AV/Firewall software - and then repeat your attempt to restore your iPad.


Otherwise, you may need to seek assistance directly from from Apple Support. You can contact the Support Team using the Support link at top-right or bottom left of this page. Alternatively, if you have access to another Apple device, you can initiate and manage your support cases using the excellent Apple Support App. If not already installed, the App can be downloaded from the App Store:

You might also visit the Genius Bar at your local Apple Store or Apple Authorised Service Provider (AASP) - where the technicians will be able to provide assistance:
