I have an old-style Nano with the 30 pin connection. I have a great stereo that accepts this connection. I also have a 7th generation Nano that has a lightning connection. Is there an adapter that will let me use my newer Nano in my stereo? I see a lot of adapters for charging, but they say they are not for playing music. Any suggestions?
Does this stereo have inputs other than a 30-pin dock connector? Such as a pair of RCA jacks (for left and right audio signals), or a stereo minijack (one marked as being for audio input, not as being for headphones)?
If so, it might be easier to get an adapter or adapters to convert from Lightning to one of those audio interfaces, rather than to locate an adapter to go from Lightning to a 30-pin Dock connector.
Unfortunately, no. It was designed specifically for the original Nano and the 30 pin dock is the only input.*** It has a fantastic base booster that really improves the sound I can get from an iPod.
