How to remove Apple Clear Case from iPhone 16 Pro

Hello all. This may sound like a silly question, but I’ve always used the Apple clear case going back to my 13 pro max. But one issue I always have is that when I take the case off I end up causing snaps in it, similar to the images I have attached.

These are nearly always near the bottom where the cut out is. And as a bit of perfectionist I like to keep my case in pristine condition so this is really annoying.

My usual method is to pop off the case using the camera cutout (as carefully as I can).. but as I say this seems to cause stress at the bottom and snap the case.

I’ve seen other people say use the bottom lip to push the phone out, but then others have said don’t do this as you end up bending the case so it doesn’t fit right on the case?

Hoping plenty of people in this Apple community use the official clear case and can advise?
