How do I remove Liquid Glass and restore my iPhone's original appearance?

I didn’t know about liquid glass and my phone updated, wow is it bad. How do I get my phone back? Transparency isn’t the setting as you lose your background. What a fail.

Liquid Glass:

There are at least two settings you can change to reduce the liquid glass effects:

Settings ≥ Accessibility > Display & Text Size > Reduce Transparency > ON

Settings > Accessibility > Motion > Reduce Motion > ON

If you have updated to at least iOS 26.1 (not to be confused with 26.0.1)

there is additional relief available, but it is not obvious:

Settings > Display & Brightness > Liquid Glass.

Here, you'll find two options: Clear and Tinted.

'Tinted' further reduces the translucency of the glass effect, making it not very glass-like any more.

If the TIME display is the source of your frustration, that is addressed separately.
