My phone auto updated to 26.4. I just received a news update from Malwarebytes not to install 26.4 but to install 18.7.7 due to Apple expanding a patch for DarlSword. How can I get the 18.7.7 so I can get the expanded patch?

You cannot downgrade any iOS version.
I believe you misread the MalwareBytes article you read and it did not tell you to NOT install 26.4. In fact iOS 26.4 is already patched for the DarkSword exploit. The article was for users that are still on iOS 18 only and was written for those that have not updated to 26.4 and were still vulnerable using iOS 18. The latest version your iPhone 16e supports is 26.4, so you are already protected and there is nothing further you need to do.

You cannot regress your iOS version. As Niel stated, you already have the DarkSword patch.
