Scrolling stutters across iOS 26.4 apps and menus

Scrolling stutters in iOS 26.4 has been the biggest issue faced so far!

while Apple released a buggy iOS version, it has definitely been getting better so far to the point where now iOS 26.4 is the best iOS version ever, since it has great battery (for iOS 26 standard), keyboard bugs are fixed (sometimes when the keyboard pops up and you type instantly, there is sometimes a lag on the first key, but eh), everything else seems to be pretty smooth, no more broken everyday animations, and majority of the issues have been solved

APART FROM THE SCROLLING!!

The scrolling stutters has been a problem in iOS since I guess iOS 18, where it would stutter the scrolling animation as it slowed down!

while this animation is fixed in many places, there are still ALOT of places where it still needs to for example:

1) YouTube

2) Reddit

3) instagram

4) all apps menu in settings

However, I reckon the animation stutter is absolutely worst in the “new toggle” menu of the control centre and also the “new wallpaper” menu!

some people say that these stutters are only in devices with promotion but I have checked in those without and they alsp have it, less noticeable but definitely still has it…

what do yall think??

Hi, iOS 27.2.0 was released yesterday. It may address the issue you’re facing.

After updateing you may notice your iPhone runs a little slow. This is your device indexing, syncing and optimizing your data. This process usually completes within a week unless you have a large amount of data on your iPhone. As an example my iPhone 18 Pro Max took over a week to finish optimizing and I’ve over 300GB of data.

You can speed the process by plugging your device into a charger, connecting to WiFi and locking your screen each night before you go to bed. This allows the processes to work overnight and minimize the time during the day it’s indexing etc.

Yes!

restarting the phone doesn’t solve this issue!

like I said, the issue has been persistent since the time I installed iOS 26, thinking that it was only me, I DFU restored my iPhone but the issue persisted…..

this is the biggest issue with iOS 26.4 right now,

and I really believe that if this is solved, iOS 26 will become about 90% stable!

it’s a global issue and everyone has it!

I just bought a brand new iPhone 17 during a festive season. Since very first day of usage, I am facing major jerks and stutters issue across all apps - both native and third party. The issue is consistent while opening, scrolling, closing and switching between the apps. The OS is the latest - 27.01. I am extremely frustrated with this ****** phone user experience after investing so much. And as usual no luck with the classic Apple Support - they are not even acknowlelding that this is the device fault. Am I the only one facing this issue? And yes, the jerks are consistent in the new MacBook Air app browsing experience - same thing - the latest OS. is this the OS BUG ?
