Touch id to bootup a Macbook Neo

Is there any kind of workaround to use touch id to bootup a Macbook Neo? I was disapointed to discover that this option in unavalable thinking that as this was a Macos system it would work. Clearly it has been specifically inhibited.

As others have pointed out the base level MacBook Neo does not have Touch ID. To login you simply must type in the password you created when you first set up your Neo. The Neo is indeed a macOS system no different than any other Mac. The base model just doesn’t have Touch ID.

With the iPhone and iPad, once they do start up, you cannot use Face ID or Touch ID until you have entered your passcode.
