Logic Pro X audio files missing from tracks after update

After the recent update logic pro X audio files are missing leaving just the blank tracks. The backups are no help because its the same thing there. I believe the audio files are still there in the audio library just somehow disappeared off of the track. It would be frustrating to drag and drop and re-align all those track one by one. How can I fix this?

Apple just released Logic 12.2 and fixed one of many bugs:

(...)Resolves an issue where audio regions in some existing projects could be missing when opened in Logic Pro 12 and later.(...)

If Audio Files are missing,

1. an "Audio File not found" error message appears when opening the project. The original path of the missing audio files are displayed and you can search for them:

2. you would see empty audio regions in the main window:

3. The missing files are shown in the project audio window:

If this is not the case, the project was most likely not saved properly. You can try to find previous saved versions under File > Revert To ...

or retrieve older versions from a backup.
