Apple Pencil Pro settings revert to default on iPad Air M3

I have an Apple Pencil Pro and an iPad Air M3.

The bug I have is that when I am using Apple Pencil and say I set the eraser to rub out the whole image, it keeps reverting to the default setting of rubbing out only the bit it touches. It is the same for pencil settings.

Is this an issue, or just the way it is?

If there are any issues, do you have any ideas on how to fix them?

I have reset the pencil without a difference.

This behavior is usually an app-specific feature called "Auto-deselect" or "Revert to previous tool," rather than a hardware defect with your Apple Pencil Pro or iPad Air M3. Many note-taking and drawing apps automatically switch back to the pen after a single erase action to keep you writing without extra taps.
