MacBook Air M4 requires password for basic functions

Hi, I purchased a new MacBook Air M4 with Tahoe 26.3.1 in January and set up my account as administrator.

The problem is that whatever I do, like changing the name of a file, moving a folder, or changing even a simple option like the wallpaper, it always asks for password. Is there a way to manage when the password is required? I think it makes sense for it to be required when downloading apps or making major changes to the software, but I'd like to avoid having to enter it for every basic function. Let me know if you can help or if there's already a discussion about this that I couldn't find. Thanks.
