Apple Watch: iMessage/FaceTime issues past 2027 update

Hi,

I have noticed on many accounts that there have been issues with recent updates to older Apple Watches that allow iMessage and FaceTime to be used past 2027.

These issues include:

Unexpected shutdowns

Restarts/boot loops

App installation issues (including system apps.)

App store issues

And more…

I have reports from myself and others including my family.

Do you have this issue? Let me know if you do and what affected your watch, also how did you fix it (if you did…)

This seems to affect series 3, 4, 5, and 6.

Does Apple have plans to fix this?
