What bugs are fixed in iOS 26.4.1?

Hi,

Just curious, but what “bugs” are fixed with the most recent update to, iOS 26.4.1?

I wish this info was given with every update; a simple & more thorough explanation to explain why the update is important, but most users always just blindly update but never knowing how the update will improve the Apple experience.

Often times I’ll notice a quirk during my daily, regular use of my devices, & thinking to myself, “gee, I wish Apple would fix that”. Then an alert that there’s an update available shows up, but what the update will “fix” is not explained.

Please consider my above suggestion, but I’d really like to know if the quirk that’s been bothering me is one of the “bugs” the new update is being fixed.

Thanks In advance for satisfying my curiosity…something shared by many other Apple users.

Update and find out if it fixed the bug you were experiencing as Apple always recommends to update the software to the latest shipping release. Apple typically notes security improvements on point updates, but rarely are each bug fix specified. Third party outlets have noted that 26.4.1 resolved an issue with iCloud syncing, but as long as you follow Apple's recommendation to update, then any issue you experience on the latest version should be reported using Feedback. It seems you want to decide if you should update based on the bug fixes addressed, but that should play no role in your decision.

It is difficult to decipher what the issue is exactly, but if you are seeing the Locked to Owner screen then you will need to provide that Apple Account/Password. You should see a partial email address for the account it is locked to and if you don't know what it is or are unable to use it, then the other option is to provide the original purchase receipt from Apple or Authorized Apple Seller to request an Activation Lock removal. Beyond that you will not be able to use the phone.

Any one having issues where your iPad did the update but you have to keep resetting it because the battery just drains to zero ? Or if you try to charge it it will stay at 1% ?

Not sure what model of iPad you have, but what you describe sounds like a battery issue. For most iPads, the battery is only expected to last for 500 charges, while newer ones are able to have 1000 charges before the Battery Health drops below 80% and need to be replaced. When your battery is due to be replaced, service is required and you will experience those exact same symptoms no matter what OS version you are using.
