Disable iCal predictive text pop-ups when adding events?

I'm running macOS Tahoe 26.3.1.

Whenever I add an appointment in iCal, after I type a few words, iCal creates a pop-up which blocks the date/time section, as well as the Alert section, of that iCal appointment.

When I add an appointment, I always want to set the start and end time, as well as set an alert.

However, iCal always creates a pop up covering those fields. The pop-up simply parrots what I've already typed and adds no value. I'd prefer to not see any pop-ups or predictive text (not sure the term for what is happening here) when adding an appointment in iCal.

I have attached an example of this phenomenon. As you can see, I'm in the middle of typing and appointment name, and two pop-ups (outlined in blue) have appeared covering up the appointment start and end time options, as well as the Alert fields. I have to click away from this appointment, then click back into the appointment to add the start time, end time, and alert time.

I understand this may not seem like a big deal but when you add 100+ appointments each week it can become quite irksome.

Is there any way to turn this predictive behavior off?

I appreciate that, but I was hoping to turn off this feature entirely! Sometimes iCal will predict a similarly named (but entirely different) calendar appointment and if staff is not paying attention, they'll accidentally hit enter or click such that the incorrect appointment name is created. Since the predictive feature is never helpful, always makes things slower, and sometimes creates errors, it would be preferred to turn it off entirely if there is an option.
