Re-syncing and restoring google contacts to iPhone contacts

So I was having receiving emails in my mail app thus I removed or deleted my gmail accounts. Then I add them back but now I can’t sync my google contacts back even if I signed in again, the toggle for contacts and mail is on but when I refresh and open the app to recheck it, the toggle is turned off even when I just signed in. What should I do? 😭
