eSIM not working and disappears after iOS 2026 update

hey there,

I’d be grateful for any help.

I upgraded to the ios 2026 and my esim stopped working (no service/invalid sim). I tried everything: airplane mode, restart the phone, hard restart, turn off and on my sim cards… nothing helps. I reset network settings - the phone restarted, esim appeared and worked a half of the day but then it disappeared again. Now I have the latest ios: 2026.4.1.

I’m quite sure it’s the problem with the phone, not the carrier because recently I bought an e-sim on Airalo and it doesn’t work either.

Furthermore, when I tap on my e-sims, there’re only label and on/off toggle, i.e. no the rest of the menu

iPhone 15 Pro, iOS 26

I visited an Apple Authorized Store to check if others had reported this issue. It is a known software problem, though Apple does not admit it publicly. Since my phone is out of warranty, they suggested running diagnostics to identify and fix the root cause, but warned it would be expensive and did not recommend it. I received no real help and must wait for a future software update to potentially resolve the issue, with no guarantees.

Yes, I know, but I have 2 esims, one is Airalo, another is a regular carrier. The phone shows either No sim/Invalid sim/No service depending on the phone restart and so on.
First, I suspected that the sim cards stopped working, but when I reset network settings they appeared and worked for a while. Therefore, I think it’s a phone issue.
I’m attaching screenshots of how it looks like.

Still not an Apple issue, esim is your cellphone provider doesn't matter if you have 1 or 10 you need to contaxt them so they can fix the issue for you.

For example Airalo used to work ok on my phone before the upgrade to a new OS. How does the provider affect? What can they do?
Besides that, I contacted the support team of my first esim, they couldn’t do anything because the phone doesn’t show a sim menu (attached a screenshot in the previous message). They also checked something on their end, but weren’t able to fix

Because esim is provided by the phone carrier not Apple, not the ios. that is why.

IF it doesn't show esim menu then the issue is with Airalo.

Esim is Airalo feature, not Apple, you will need to work it out with them.
