Universal Clipboard not copying from MacBook to iPad

I was trying to handoff images/text from my macbook to my ipad using the universal clipboard. But I can only seem to copy from my iPad/iPhone onto the macbook but not the other way around. I haven't changed anything, no new devices, all on the same iCloud account, same Wi-Fi and bluetooth is also on for all of them. I tried restarting all devices, clearing the clipboard, and turning on and off the handoff a couple of times. None of these have seemed to fix the problem.

Universal Clipboard failing in only one direction usually means a minor glitch in the peer-to-peer connection or background Continuity daemon on your Mac. Try toggling Wi-Fi and Bluetooth off and on again on both devices, or sign out and back into your Apple ID on your MacBook.

Turn off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth completely in the actual macOS and iPadOS system settings (not just the Control Center), wait 10 seconds, and turn them back on.
Sign out of iCloud on your MacBook and sign back in to reset the device handshake.
Reset the Mac Bluetooth module if the issue persists by using Terminal or a full restart of the sharing daemons.
