Ok, the A2520 is the "2nd generation" Apple Magic Keyboard. It should be "full-sized" and equipped with Touch ID. It uses a Lightning port for charging, and initially setting up the keyboard to a computer.
There are only a few reasons why this keyboard would be losing charge quickly, and they are:
You should expect a 3-5 year useable life for these keyboards. Of course, there are expections at either end.
could also be a periodic stuck microswitch under one of the keys that keep waking up the keyboard by key activation even if it's not really being used by anyone.
Personally this sounds like a battery life issue. I recommend replacing the battery or buying another keyboard.
Hope this helped.
Which exact model is your Magic Keyboard? How long have you had it? What have you tried, so far yourself, to resolve this so that we don't offer potential solutions that may not have already worked for you?
And it connects for recharging with the lightning connector. I understand the newer model of this connects with USB-C. I have not tried anything yet to correct or alleviate the situation of overly fast discharge. I've seen several articles about it, however.
In turning the keyboard over, it reads "model A2520". Does that sound about right? I got it along with my iMac in early 2022.
