Understanding two folders created after Mail export

I have exported a specific mail folder titled: Trojan Lacrosse and all of its subfolders with titles such as uniforms, tourneys, League Emails, etc.

The process the created two folders on my desktop. 1 labeled: Trojan Lacrosse. It contains all the subfolders: Uniforms.mbox, tourneys.mbox, League Emails.mbox.

The second folder is titled: Trojan Lacrosse.mbox. It contains: mbox and table_of_contents.

Can someone explain the difference between these tow folders? I'm guessing the folder with all the sub-folder.mbox contains the actual data.
