How to free up iPhone 11 storage space?

For years storage usage on iPhone 11 was at 24-30gb. It filled up suddenly and phone can't be used, despite erasing thousands of emails and messages and photos. Storage remains at 63...

I get an endless reminder to upgrade icloud storage. What happened and what can I do about it?

When you delete photos, they are still stored in Recently Deleted for 30 days. So, you'll have to wait for 30 days to recover the storage space or go into Recently Deleted and manually delete the photos to regain storage space within the next few hours.


Same for Messages.


When you delete emails, they are still stored in the Trash until you manually delete everything from the Trash.

Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:

Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support
