MacBook keyboard registers key release too sensitively
I purchased the 2026 M5 MacBook with the M5 Max chip today and set up Discord with push to talk. I have noticed that the actuation and release distance feels much more sensitive compared to my older M4 Pro.
When I press a key, even slightly reducing pressure (we're talking literal micrograms here), causes it to register as released well before the key physically rises. I understand that it's not supposed to fully raise before registering the release, but the way it's setup currently, feels very touchy. That said, this makes the key feel overly sensitive, and I have not found any software setting to adjust it.
I am not sure if this is a defect, but I have tested more than five keys across different areas of the keyboard and can reproduce the behavior on all of them. I did not experience this issue on my M4 Mac Pro.
Has anyone else with an M5 noticed something similar?
