Migration assistant not working

Moving from Windows 11 to Macbook Air trying to use Migration Assistant. I have turned off all firewalls and security and the windows machine is not able to see the MAC even tho I do see the code number and enter and macbook seems to acknowledge. Not sure what else to try.
