Cannot import files from Google Drive into Goodnotes on iPad

I use Goodnotes to upload files from google drive for cross stitching. I've never had any issues with it...until today.

I tried various ways including opening GoodNotes and importing the file from my drive (my typical way of doing it). Trying to drag and drop in a split screen but couldn't get the screen to split. I tried a couple of other ways to no avail. I finally had to email it to myself, open the email on my iPad, download the file and upload it from files.

I did update to 26.4.1 during all of this but was having the issue before updating.

I don't know what else to do to remedy the issue. Will I lose everythig in GoodNotes if I delete it and re-download it?
