How to open and edit SVG files in Keynote?

hi guys. can i open a svg. file in keynote? I made a map in Figma, but I cannot open it in Keynote, I need to be able to edit the map in Keynote.

In Keynote v15.2, on macOS Tahoe 26.4.1, I successfully dragged and dropped ten different SVG images, created by a multitude of tools, onto Keynote without issue. This also works via the Insert menu > Choose… interface.


There is no edit functionality for SVG in Keynote other than the ability to break apart some SVG content and reuse/build/reshape new objects from the so-called exploded SVG. You will need more advanced and dedicated graphics applications for editing purposes (e.g. Inkscape, Affinity Designer, GIMP, etc.).
