Wrong location used in Calendar.app for time to leave

Create an appointment in Calendar.app and ask for a message to be notified when ity is time to leave.

macOS (several recent versions) does not use my current Address set in Contacts but somewhere a few miles away.

I note that my address is <name> Lane and the address used seems to be <name> Road.

How do I get Calendar to use the correct location?

I did talk to an Apple Support person but the only advice was remove the address from contacts and then Calendar uses current location.

This issue happens because of a persistent indexing bug between the Maps, Contacts, and Calendar apps on macOS. When your street name closely resembles another nearby street (like Lane versus Road), the Calendar app’s hidden cache often defaults to the wrong autocomplete entry.

Since removing your address entirely is impractical, you can fix this root cause by clearing the cache and re-linking the data.
