Calendar event time change. When I book an appointment for, say, a dentist visit. The first thing I do is add the time and repeat it back to the scheduler. I type dentist, his name pops up, and I click, then save it. I missed an appointment because the time I knew I entered changed. Why??

Try this
Check Device Settings: Verify that Apple calendar is set to update time zones correctly and that "Time Zone Override" isn't toggled to the wrong zone.
Tap the Time Field Last: Enter and confirm the exact start and end times after selecting contacts or locations so smart-suggestions cannot overwrite your manual entry.
Disable Location-Based Shifting: Turn off automatic primary time zone updates in your calendar web or app settings if you do not travel frequentl
Apple Calendar event times often shift due to syncing conflicts with third-party calendar accounts (like Google or Outlook), automatic time zone adjustments, or a known bug when autofilling or picking previous event templates. When you tap a previous name or suggestion, the app can invisibly swap the time to match the old entry.
