Logic Pro sustain pedal stops working during MIDI recording

Hello from Kent, UK.

I am new to Logic Pro and have a question regarding the sustain pedal with midi piano recording.

The pedal in the attached screenshot works until where the position is indicated on the timeline. From there to the end, the pedal is off, despite showing below in the CC64 region.

If anyone had any ideas as to why, I'd be so grateful.
