Mark-up does not work after taking a screen shot. I click the icon and nothing happens. I have to put the screen shot in photos and mark-up from there. This is a new problem since the update. I have restarted iPad a number of times and still nothing.

I was having the same issue as well, but I selected the three menu dots and toggled on draw with finger and that solve the issue!

You need to click on the edit tool icon in the upper right first… the edit tools will open up.
When taking screenshots on my iPad A16 running iPadOS 26.4.2, the "Markup" icon toggles this tool palette at the bottom of the screen:

Of course I have clicked that. This is what I’m having trouble with. Nothing happens when I try to toggle that. It used to work fine until the updates.
