Select podcast episodes suddenly unable to “play on this device”

I am a paid subscriber to a podcast, and very recently some of the episodes are now giving me an error message that says “this episode can’t be played on this device”. Episodes are from this year, I’ve never had an issue with them before. I have an iphone 10
