iPad & Mac Studio: Wi-Fi Calling activation issue after trip

why am i getting this pop up across devices (after a trip) that says cannot activate wi-fi calling? This is the 3rd post in a few weeks that I'm doing regarding wi-fi calls on my desktop computer. This is exhausting. I fixed the wifi calling issue for a 2nd time just a few weeks ago if that, then i go on a trip, come back, and my ipad and my desktop computer both have this pop up that says "cannot activate wi-fi calling. to enable wi-fi calls on this account, contact the carrier." why??? I've never had to contact the carrier before. that doesnt make any sense. Mac studio 2023, 128gb, macOS tahoe 26.4.1

When you make a Wi-Fi call, not directly on your iPhone, it is generally routed through your nearby and powered-on iPhone that is logged in with the same Apple-ID, equipped with a current calling plan that allows that sort of connection, in range of cellular service, and not Roaming.

It may also be that when you were on a trip, the whole connected-ness of your devices collapsed and needs to be re-established.
