Need help with app problem iPhone/ipad

I have iPhone 16 and new iPad purchased around July 2025. My app is Bingo Holiday. The app was updated about a week ago on my iPad and I lost all my game progress. When it was restored by Bingo Holiday it had lost all my progress, gave me a new member number and now I have to start from zero.

however, I did not upgrade on the iPhone - everything is still as previously but I cannot see the small screen to play. I am elderly and not very mobile so it is my only entertainment.

can I delete the app on iPad and somehow get the previous version on iPhone copied over to iPad or will this kill my older version?

I know it is only a game but have been playing for 7 years and their support appears to have gone to ground and ignoring me.

iPad Air, iPadOS 26

Only the current version of apps tend to be available for download. Sometimes older versions may be available for platforms that are incapable of running the newest, but this is pretty unusual. You certainly cannot choose versions and if the iPad will run the newest then that's all that will be available to you. So unfortunately in your case you will have to work with the developer if there are problems with using the app. Click on this link to learn how to contact an app developer about problems running an app or problems restoring purchases. --> How to contact an app developer - Apple Support

If I had to guess I would think that the changes with the new version may have been inconsistent with how the data was stored with the old version.
