I'm about to publish my first book under a pseudo name. I'm unsure whether I should use my original apple account or I create a new apple account with the pseud name?
You need to set up an Apple Connect Account with your real name.

No one is going to see your Apple ID ever, as far as I know.
You need to give a bit more detail such as why you want to do it. You can't use two Apple IDs on the same device at the same time, so you'll either be buying two Macs, phones, etc. or logging out of one Apple ID and logging in with the other every time you want to switch tasks/modes. That will be a pain in the neck IMO.
Again, IMO, you'd be better off getting a domain related to your pen name so you can have a website and email addresses with your pen name, rather than relying on Apple.
Thank you for getting back to me. If I use my original Apple account to launch my book via Apple Books for Authors, once the book is published (and goes live), will my original Apple account name/details be displayed if the book is under a pseudonym?
