I have an iPhone 16E with ios 26.4.2; I can't find the settings for government emergency alerts. One came through last night and I heard it, but no alert text message is in my notifications. I want to review the settings but they are not at the bottom of the "Notifications" section in settings. A search for them brings up "Notifications" but that item is not there???

First of all, I don’t think that the carrier has something to do about that, I get those alerts even without SIM/Esim…

report the issue to your phone carrier.
IF the setting is available in your country, all it allows you to do is turn the alerts on or off.
Many countries don't permit turning them off.
Yeah, it's a regional issue. I thought I had seen the setting before. I'll never know why I missed that alert.
