How can I remove a password from a pdf in Preview? Surely OSX must have a better way than opening, then exporting the file without a password, then having to delete the passworded version.

From Preview, open the file and enter the current password select File > Export and save a new copy ...(?)
I just overwrite the file when exporting to remove the password.
