I have 170K photos over 20 years, all on the icloud AND my computer. I am looking for software or an app that can use facial recognition to pull photos of certain people, and then give me the best ones. I have tried a few, but it is so confusing. Can Apple just do it?
Facial recognition in Photos works very well, but of course the face has to be clearly visible. It will miss some for no discernible reason, and it will identify some that make no sense:
Automatically rating pictures according to some quality sounds possible, but it's hard for me to believe the computer would match my own conception of quality.
There are lots of apps that will find people in your photographs. There are none that will only find some but not others. And none that will "give you the best ones".
