Compressor 5: Vimeo 4K export settings review

Compressor 5 - Best Vimeo settings.

I've been longing for Compressor to include the easy button built in for Vimeo & Youtube, but that hasn't happened yet.

Since the upgrade to V5 there have been a few small changes in the inspector, and I have updated my preset. Take a look and see if there is anything I'm missing or getting wrong. For audio, Vimeo suggests AAC-LC (Low Complexity AAC). Thats not an option so im just using MPEG-4 AAC.

Im working with 10 bit 422 REC709 files and exporting in 4k.

MacBook Pro 14″, macOS 15.7

There used to be Vimeo and YT presets, but due to copyright bickering, they have been gone for awhile.

I upload to Vimeo and YT a lot, and just use the standard H.264 preset and I get fantastic quality. I think you're overthinking this way too much. Go to the Social Platforms collection, use the 4K preset, be done with it. It'll work just fine for both Vimeo and YT.
