iPhone 17 Pro Max overheating and battery health decline after iOS 26.4.2 update

I’ve updated to the iOS 26.4.2 around roughly two weeks ago and I’ve experienced overheating issues on my iPhone 17 pro max which I’ve never experienced since I’ve got the phone back in October 2025. In the past two weeks the phone began to feel warmer during charging and my battery health fell from 97 to 95. Is there anything I could do to solve this issue except closing background app refresh, thank you
