iPad battery cycle count increases with partial charges

Charge Cycles are based on "discharge" not actually the charges that are made, contrary to the name being charge cycles.

So in your example, it certainly is possible to see 2 charge cycles. Consider yesterday that if you have an accumulated discharge of 90%, that is not quite enough to count as a charge cycle and today you discharged your battery for a total of 110%, that would amount to 2 charge cycles. The charge percentages make no difference, it is how much the battery has discharged.

I do not see a concern. My observations of our battery-powered Apple devices—including an A16 I also bought in April—is that cycle count change increments do not appear to be consistent, but that has presented me with no issues.

If you are concerned, by all means have Apple evaluate.

It doesn't sound right, maybe rounding errors in the calculation, but there's nothing you can do about it. My advice is to stop obsessing about your battery and enjoy your iPad by using it like its meant to be used. The battery is a consumable item, just like the tyres on your car. It's going to wear out and need replacing.
