Update Terms and Conditions Loop Question...

 Hi all,

My company now

has Apple Business Manager and an MDM linked to manage our company

iPhones.

My first

question is, I tried to login to ABM recently and received the 'Updated Terms

& Conditions' page.  I scrolled

through the updated information and the checked the box and click the 'Agree'

button.  The button shows a spinner for 3

seconds then loops right back to the same 'Updated Terms & Conditions'

page...it will not advance and log into the Apple Business portal.  I called Apple support and was on the phone

with them for a little over 2 hours and then I suddenly lost the call...that

was a bummer.  I've researched the issue

and have done all of the suggested fixes (e.g., refresh the page, clear cache

& cookies, etc.) to no avail.

My second

questions is, what is the general amount of time a company should expect the IT

department to dedicate to setting up ABM and MDM and all training involved with

the process?  The reason I ask this

question is...I have been working on buttoning up the implementation and 'learning'

process for some time now due to the fact that I am extremely busy in my director

IT role and have worked with the MDM to learn the system via 30-minute

call/video sessions but it just isn't working.

The MDM system (Maas360) is so far and wide that I have concluded that

learning it on the fly just isn't going to allow the proper learning to

efficiently manage our company iPhones.

We are so close, yet so far and are have difficulty with some of the ios

devices that are returned  in a locked

state due to the employee changing the apple id password and screen lock

code.

The challenge

I'm currently facing is I have an iPhone 15 that is enrolled in ABM and

Mass360.  The iPhone 15 is screen locked,

and activation locked.  Due to not being

able to get into ABM because of the 'Updated Terms & Conditions' loop issue

during the login to ABM, I am unable to access the portal to turn off

activation lock, run reports, etc.

Lastly,  if you can provide contact information for a

consultant who specializes in helping companies

finish the Maas360 mobile device management setup so we can secure our

IOS devices and prevent employees from changing Apple ID and lock screen

information at will as it causes massive delays and difficulty with trying to

reallocate ios devices to new staff when the are hired.

Thank you in

advance for any help you can provide on the topics above!

Chuck

Q1: "I tried to login to ABM recently and received the 'Updated Terms & Conditions' page .... "it will not advance and log into the Apple Business portal"

Am no expert in this area, yet as your questions have received no replies as yet, seems your questions to the community deserve some response:

Fortunately Apple's online documentation may prove helpful.

Recently came across this:

"Apple Business combines the capabilities previously found in Apple Business Manager, Apple Business Essentials and Apple Business Connect into a single, comprehensive offering, catering to both your internal operational needs and your external customer-facing strategies.”

See the Apple Business User Guide - Apple Support

Perhaps the above statement helps explain the ABM "loop" you encounter.

We all have our own ways of working. I guess it depends on our training.

IMHO: Technology moves forward so rapidly, it often proves quicker and cleaner to look at an overview. Then learn and apply only what is immediately required, solving each situation completely, one at a time.

If documentation can provide easy access to solutions as needed, it then becomes necessary to keep up with the latest, dipping in to seek out what's currently required, applying that, and then smoothly moving onwards.

See whether Apple's documentation can help with issues you face:

Device Management | Apple Developer Documentation

Just a sample few of the topics included in the above:

Configuring Multiple Devices Using Profiles

Create and deploy configuration profiles to users within your organization.

Implementing Device Management

Set up an MDM server and send commands to managed devices.

Integrating Declarative Management says:

"Use the declarative management protocol to manage MDM features such as device enrollment and un-enrollment and device and user authentication".

Status Reports

Reports from the device about its current state.

There is much more info. available from above links.

Sorry, am unable to assist with your need for a consultant. Even if I could, community rules prohibit the posting of personal contact info.

Perhaps an organisation like LinkedIn can assist ?

All the best :-)
