iPhone 16 Passcode Expired Popup

I have an iPhone 16. My toddler found my phone and was pressing buttons. When I took it from him, a pop up showed up that says "iPhone unlock passcode has expired." It then asks me to change my current passcode by first entering my current passcode. However, it isn't accepting my current passcode and the pop up won't let me navigate to any other part of my phone. The weird thing is, when my phone times out and I enter my passcode the normal way, it works just fine. What is going on? How do I fix this? I tried restarting and it didn't help.

iPhone 16, iOS 26

Normally, no one will ever get a popup that their iPhone Passcode has expired, unless the phone is managed by a school or employer with MDM Software. Is your phone managed by a school or employer? If in Settings > General > VPN & Device Management, there is an MDM Profile there, you'll need to get help from either the school or employer who installed the MDM Profile on the phone.
