2020 MacBook Pro Wi-Fi not working after shutdown

Hello all,

I have a 2020 MacBook Pro, intel processor I5. I am running on Sequoia 15.7.5. Last week I shut down my Mack book as per usual when I left the office. There have been no issues with the device until today. When I booted it up, everything went normal. Upon trying to use anything that requires internet, nothing is working. Safari takes about 5 mins to load Google Docs, and that is best case scenario. I have restarted it, done another hard shut down, Forgot the WiFi network, and run wifi diagnostics with the built in tool. From using my phone and IPad I know that the wifi is working perfectly fine. I am at an impasse as I don’t know what else to do. My next step is to check and see if there is a hardware issue using the boot menu. I do not wish to buy another computer. Has anyone had this happen before?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 15.7

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS

Did you try How to set up a Personal Hotspot and compare results...

Use Instant Hotspot to connect to your Personal Hotspot

To trouble shoot further you can:

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

*** (if you are using a wireless keyboard with rechargeable batteries— connect the charging cable, this will make the wired keyboard successful Safe Boot your Mac.)

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

for hardware issue take it i—

Wi-Fi Radio Signals from your Router fall off as the inverse square of the distance. Provided you are close to your Router and have clear line of sight and no competition from neighbors' Routers or known interference producers like microwave ovens, you should not be having issues.

All others need to do a more careful analysis to find out what is happening.

Wireless diagnostics:

Hold down the Option key while you click on the Wi-Fi icon on the menubar to open up the tools for investigating and fixing Wi-Fi issues

Choose "Open Wireless diagnostics", which opens the wireless diagnostics Assistant, but does not proceed.

NB> Wireless Diagnostics is an App that puts up its own MenuBar.

Using its Window menu, there are about eight different things you can do from here,

Assistant (default window)

Info

Logs

Scan

Performance

Sniffer

Sidecar

Diagnostics

The top-level is to choose Diagnostics off the Window menu, or simply click (Continue) to do a quick check for Gross misconfiguration or operating problems. Your Admin password will be required. If any recommendations are shown, you should consider then seriously.

Next is to hold down the Option key and click the Wi-Fi icon as before. The screen that opens shows operating parameters of your Wi-Fi network. There is a great deal of valuable information in those numbers.

Readers are eager to interpret what is going on from the values there. Screenshot, transcribe, or photograph the results and post back in a reply on the forums. Looks like this older one.

The safe mode boot didn’t work, issue was still present. Same for using guest login, seems to be a universal issue. I have gone through further diagnostic and went through the boot menu to check the WiFi hardware and all seems to be working appropriately. Currently I am re installing the OS to see if that fixes it. Thank you for all the advise and help thus far.
