17 Pro not turning on when dying!

Are you continually letting your phone die completely and that is the only time it is unable to charge after plugging it in?

Charging should be done every night and continually letting a lithium ion battery deplete to nothing is going to damage the battery. I have seen reports of slow charging response after the battery has drained completely, but not when charged before that has happened. Letting that happen once would be accidental, but many times is just asking for trouble. Contact Apple directly here:

If it is a bug in the OS, it is important to get the issue logged by Apple so any resolution can be fixed in an update. If you have a MagSafe charger, you can try that as some users reported that charging appeared after 10-15 minutes that away after their battery completely died, where the higher wattage connected charger failed to charge.

"17 Pro not turning on when dying!: Anyone else experiencing their new iPhone 17 Pro dying and not turning on for hours, not showing the battery sign, completely blacked out despite being on brand new chargers? Its happened so many times now and Ive gone to the store three times all in which have been answered in pushover ways even having to reset my phone from the absolute beginning no transfer or anything. I have been given no solution and now Im literally 1,000 niles away from home and have no idea when to expect my phone to turn on as the very first experience I had it was off for around 11 hours."

Is there is no battery charging emblem on the top-right corner of your iPhone screen. Sounds like a bug. So, see if this reveals it...

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: Battery
3. Toggle On: Battery Percentage
