I experienced problems with sound (cracking noise, delay vs image) since installing MacOS 15.7.5 (24G624) on a 2019 IMac Retina 5K (3 GHz 6-Core Intel Core i5), any suggestions?
Restart is Safe Mode followed be a Normal restart and test.

Test the video and audio or just audio from some different sources.
FWIW I have a couple of Intel Mac's running macOS 15.7.5 and have had no issues with video or audio.

internal speakers are one of the things that become disabled while in safe mode on sequoia and before. so it is possible that a safe boot followed by a normal boot could clear up this issue. but the OP will not be able to test it while still in safe mode. so I would recommend for the OP to run in safe mode for about 5 minutes before booting normally and then proceed to test when booted back up normally.

sorry, I see that now. i thought you suggested testing while in safe mode. but I reread your reply, and it does appear clear now that you meant "test after safe mode".

Thank you from London, it worked out! Somehow video and sound had become dissociated with video lagging sound while sound was cracking after Sequoia 1st instal (upgrading from Sonoma). All fixed now.
