Do some airpods fit better than others?

Yes, more or less.


The regular AirPods have a specific shape that cannot be changed, those may fit some ear types. but not others.


AirPods Pro come with different sized silicone tips to fit different sizes of ears. You can change the tips on the AirPods at any point.


AirPods Max are over the ear headphones and cover the entire ear so may be more comfortable to some than the in ear ones.

Ears are almost as individual as fingerprints. So it would be hard to say which ones would work best for you. But, to answer the question in the subject line, yes, the fit is different from one model to another.


None of them fit me very well. I'd say the AirPod Pro 3 has been the best. But I still ended up doing what I always do. I buy third-party foam tips. They mold better to my ears and the foam, being slightly rougher, seems to stay in better. Obviously, that's not going to work for the AirPod models that don't have changeable tips.


If you buy from Apple, you have 14 days to return them. So, consider buying whatever model you think you want and testing them out.
