Safari Deleted All Tabs Unexpectantly
I just wanted to come on here to add to the discussion posts about safari closing all tabs with little to no warning. I keep many important things in my tabs and review them very often. Today I went to clear unnecessary tabs and accidentally pressed X when I didn’t mean to. I slid my finger away so the tab wouldn’t clear and suddenly it was the only tab left. I thought it had pinned or something so I tried to undo it, but nothing worked. It turns out in the milisecond between moving my finger and lifting it, a pop-up that said “Close Other Tabs” appeared (obviously too quickly to read or even see) and without clicking it was selected. I had 497 tabs that I had been using for years. Things for work, future trips, movies I wanted to watch, etc. all disappeared in less than a milisecond. I quickly searched the issue and come to find out this has been happening to people for years. Apple, why is there no “Are you sure you want to clear all 497 tabs?” button? Though the comments on many of these posts were berating people for not properly saving their browser history, it is clear by the sheer number of reddit pages, youtube videos, and posts in this discussion forum that this is an issue causing people a great deal of stress. I already know that nothing can be done, but what I’m saying is - Apple, you are forcing us to update to same iteration of the same phone every year and charging us thousands for it, here’s a real issue people are facing. I don’t want ads in my maps. I don’t want AI analyzing my phone. I want my **** safari tabs.
