Photos app not responding on new MacBook Pro with macOS Tahoe 26.4.1

There appears no popup window with options to repair the Mediathek Fotos Library.

first Quit the Photos.app

Hold the Option key down and Launch the Photos.app— select the default Library

see if that gets you further.

If no resolve I would repair the Library to move forward. Quit the Photos.app relaunch it holding the Option-Command keys .

You may have to look for the dialogue box... if in full screen navigat to the full screen, if not full screen move other windows out of the way if you do not see it....

Have you installed and run any "cleaning", "optimizing", "speed-up", anti-virus or VPN apps on your Mac?

Have you tried creating a new library by launching the Photos app with the Option key held down?

Nothing means neither mail, nor apple musik, not even pages. If I open a pages document, the document does not open, but the app crashes.

If it is not working new out of the box return for a refund or exchange for on that does work as expected.

Are you referring to the Photos app or a third-party app called Fotos...?

Wow-- that is quite drastic, and it's not the experience most of have had with getting a new Mac. Good luck with this!
