iPad Air Settings app search returns no results

I have recently upgraded to a new iPad Air running iPadOS 26.3.1. All is well EXCEPT that I am unable to search for settings within the settings app. Any attempt to do a search within Settings returns no results. I can see that this issue has been reported multiple times on multiple versions of iPadOS but m unable to locate any reliable fix. Before I do a complete reset on my iPad I am wondering if there is a fix that does not require this?
